Children can have foot and ankle problems, where many are treatable and correctable. Children’s problems include shape abnormalities, poorly formed bone structure or congenital defects such as flat feet.
Fractures of the foot happen quite frequently, primarily due to stresses and strains applied to the foot as well as the simple fact that the foot seems to be a focal point for trauma. Here we discuss the mechanism and treatment of fractures in general.
The main purpose of a reconstructive foot surgery is to restore the functionality of the foot and to rectify any problems of the foot resulted from a number of conditions. This involves realigning the bones in the foot so that the foot looks normal after the reconstructive foot surgery.
